Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, with another weekly blog. This "week" was really short and went by really fast. This week my period was working the I.D stand, which I thought was pretty simple compared to all the other tasks we work on. Monday, was the day we found out who won 7th grade elections. The results was really important to me, because I had ran for secretary. So once we had finished working our shifts, we tuned in to watch Ilima T.V.. It turned out that Savonnah won for archivist, Angel for president, Amber for treasurer and Gabe for secretary... At first, I was really disappointed that I had lost, but it was alright. I realized that since I didn't win, I didn't have to worry about all the extra responsibilities I would've had got gotten if I was secretary and I'm also pretty glad that someone I know and someone already in this class won, instead of a random person I don't even know. Also since Amber won, that meant she was a new addition to our leadership class, which was pretty cool. Tuesday, wasn't really busy. We did talk about flag football on the positions we were gonna have and where to go, during homeroom and our periods. Also we were assigned our AR #'s and went to the media center to grab books. I personally enjoy/dislike reading, depending on what I'm reading. Wednesday, was picture taking. During homeroom, we went to the Cafeteria so Mr.Ing could explain what we had to do and where we had to go. I worked during 4th period, so that meant I was excused from math. Unfortunately, I did get homework that day in math and ELA. As for Thursday and Friday, I was at home working on some homework and facetiming some of my friends since school was cancelled.
There were many highlights and lowlights of the week. A highlight for me was working the ID stand. It was because it was really easy and simple to work. A lowlight for me was losing the election. It was because I felt really ashamed, but now I'm okay.
A lesson I learned this week, was to always look at the bright side of things. I thought this lesson really matched with what went on this week. The reason why was because something pretty upsetting happened this week and instead of staying sad for the entire "week", I decided to look at the bright side of things the day after and had an okay rest of the week.

The Best Has Yet To Come
Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, with another weekly blog. This week was really something. Like, If I were to describe this week in one word it would be ongoing. To start off the week, I found out that 7th grade elections were on Thursday, so that was pretty much my main focus of the week. I had decided to run for 7th grade secretary, but it turns out their was a twist. I was running against two of my friends(gabe and ohemaa), and to top it all off I needed the most votes out of the 3 of us. So right now, the suspense is practically killing me and I'm really eager to find out the results. Until then, I can only hope for the best. Moving on, my period was working the T.V for the week. While we did that, I mainly just typed on the slides, since I was still trying to perfect the mixer. Also me and alexis worked on Wednesday's and Thursday's intro's for this week. I finally finished setting up all my notes and settling in all my classes, which was pretty helpful.
There were many highlights and lowlights of the week. One highlight of the week for me was finishing all of my assignments on time. I really hope that this can continue for the rest of the year, so I can be able to keep up with my grades. A lowlight of the week for me was procrastinating with my election poster. Unfortunately due to this, I was only able to complete one poster to advertise me being secretary.
A lesson I've learned this week was to always stay focused on my work. The reason why I choose this as my lesson for the week was because while I was in some of my classes, I got my work done way more efficiently. Usually back in elementary school, I would be the last person to finish an assignment, but this time I got it done way more early because I stayed focused on the task.

A New Chapter Unfolds
First week back to school. Usually not a big deal in my perspective, but this time it was really different and odd, but at the same time intriguing and fun. What made this new experience a mix of emotions to me was the fact that I was in a whole new place. Especially on the first day, now that was really something. Instead of staying trapped in one classroom, we got to see a whole different variety of classrooms that we are able to be in for the entire school year. Also not only that, but I got to be reunited with some of my friends at Pohakea and Holomua! It was really fun seeing my friends from Pohakea, but to be remembered by old friends at Holomua was absolutely great. As for the work, it hasn't be too difficult, although I do think I've been procrastinating with my work at home, but I'm confident that this will change as I progress throughout the school year. Though for leadership, I'm still adjusting to the people I will be working with and getting to know them. Also I would like to improve on the jobs we have in leadership by working more efficiently.
Their were many highlights and lowlights of this week. A highlight that happened this week was reuniting with my old friends. Especially considering that fact that I haven't seen them in a while and I've missed them. A lowlight that happened this week was when I procrastinated at home to get some of my work done. The outcome turned out with me having to work on and sign my assignments/syllabus at a late time
A lesson I've learned this week was that procrastinating doesn't help with anything. The reason why I thought this was an important lesson for me this week was because it absolutely did not help me with my education, but instead delayed it. In the future whenever I'm working on a an assignment, I'll make sure to remember this.

Closing up my Summer Adeventure
As the last week of summer approached, it went by really slow. With finishing up fee payments and wrapping up the classroom, it was like a long countdown until school started. Not only that, we were also able to work on our intro's, practice on Ilima T.V., and make more I.D cards. We also were coming to the the point where we had to make our final decisions to stay in this class. Accepting this position in the class, I have realized I've put part of myself in a whole new perspective in school where I'm held to become more accountable and responsible. Towards the very last day of leadership workdays in 2018, it was time for the annual leadership field trip. There, we had a very relaxing, but yet exciting experience to never forget.
Of course, we all had many highlights and lowlights from this week. A highlight I, myself experienced this week was saying I'd stay in leadership for my 7th grade year. This was definitely one of my best highlights in this class so far during the summer because of how it's gonna effect my 1st year in middle school. A lowlight I, myself experienced this week was being late to one of the workdays. This was something that I'm not to proud of, but ready to learn from this and be more prepared next time.
The lesson I've learned this week was, to not ever give up before something has even started. I'll admit that before making my final decision to stay in leadership, I was definitely having doubts at first and the day of. The reason why was because I was hearing a lot of things that worried me about the class and because of it lowered my confidence in succeeding in the class and in general school. Although knowing all of this, I took some time to think,"How will I ever know if this is all true, if I never try this for myself?". Once I thought about this, I knew my answer right away. Now, here I am ready for a brand new year in a brand new school.
