Taking it Easy...

Cardi B/Snoop Dogg Concert!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog! This week honestly felt slow. We also had no school and were on break. Monday, it was Christmas Eve. My sisters came to visit for a little bit and went on their way. I had a party at night and didn't want to open anything, since I wasn't really up for it. Tuesday, was Christmas! I woke up really late this year and I didn't open presents until 8pm (I think). I also met my aunties new boyfriend, he's okay ig, It was nice seeing some old relatives, but I honestly had no clue who some people were. Wednesday, I went windward and spent my Christmas money early lol. I even tried doing an all nighter with kiana, rosslyn and Isaac. We all eventually fell asleep and yeahh.Thursday, I missed the winter field trip, but ended up going to the Cardi B and Snoop Dogg concert! My seats weren't to bad and it was pretty busy. Friday, I watched the bird box and I hated/loved it. *Spoilers* Seriously tho, we never find out what those creatures look like or what ever happened to lucy and felix or what if charlies still alive? Also, what are the odds Olympia and Malorie give birth at the same time! I also hung out with my friends in the rain and istg it was lactually COLD! Like, wtff. I also got into an "argument" with Ileana and Jasmine about me and my FRIEND, harryzen. We all know Ileana can say some pretty funny stuff, but this one definitely cracks me up mayun.#joana ,ifykyk ;)Today, I had lunch with my dad and are currently watching insatiable for the second time lol.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One
highlight for me was going to the Cardi B/Snoop Dogg concert. This was a highlight for me because, it was my first concert and I LOVEEE cardi's songs and personality. One lowlight for me was, not spending time with my other aunty as much. This was a lowlight for me because, she lives in another state, so I don't see her too much, so I should've spent as much time with her as possible.

A lesson I learned this week was to, always prioritize family. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week is because, I thought it really matched with what went on. If I had spent more time with my aunty before she left then I would've gotten to see her more. In the future, I will be sure to always prioritize family

10 More Days!

Winter Fair!

Hey guys! I's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog. This week felt really short. My period worked music. Monday, I don't really think much happened. Oh! I was working mainly by myself this whole week and istg I did really bad! I had trouble with the walkie (but I got a hang of it), the speakers weren't connected right and the mic wasn't at it's best. I also had a math test that day, which I actually passed! Kewl. Me and my friends also had a secret santa and I LOVED my gift a lot(Thank you jasmine!), but I think honestly think I gave one of the best gifts honestly haha. Tuesday, my period filmed how to work I.D's together. Afterschool, I went boy's locker room and played ping pong with jasmine, chloe and gabe. bruhh. I was soo bad at it XD. Wednesday, we had sign waving! I barely made it on time, but it's okay cuz I still did! I really love period 4 now, which I honestly hated before. I legit, read any chance I could during the day because I didn't finish AR. Thursday, we had the luncheon and I brought chicken katsu. It was also one of my bestfriends birthday, aka Jasmine! We also took down the curtains in the cafĂ©. I also finished AR! Yayy! Friday, was winter fair! It was really lit mayun, honestly. It was fun and I really enjoyed it. Even while we were working, it wasn't bad, the jobs seemed pretty easy. During each period, we had something fun to do, like watch movies, go on our phones and play video games. I still had some assignments to finish so I basically did that too. I hung out with chloe, jasmine and gabe again and we took pictures and went bk. Something afterschool did happen thogh, which is the reason why I'm officially dropping ALL fake/toxic people before this year is over. I swear on it. Today, I learned how to shoot a gun, which wasn't too scary lol.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, going to winter fair. This was a highlight for me because, even though I had to work for some time, I still got to experience it and it was AMAZING!! One lowlight for was working music. This was a lowlight for me because, like I've mentioned before I messed up so much in music and it's definitely something I want to improve on.
Magic Notes!

A lesson I learned this week was to not do things last minute. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week is because I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had not waited last minute to finish my AR and English essay they both would've been done sooner and turned in on time. In the future, I will learn to not do things last minute.

Out of all the magic notes I've received this week, I'd say my favorite would be from Chanel. I liked her note the most because, it stood out. She said things like, how she'll have my back and how I had hers. Her note meant a lot and I'm glad were on good terms. Thank you, I won't be forgetting this note anytime soon.

2018-2019 2ND QUARTER BLOG!

Magic Notes!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey here with my second quarterly blog. Second quarter is almost up! This quarter has been SOOOO different from the first. Meaning, different bonds, different work and different grades! Main Events we had were soccer shoot out, evacuation, team pictures, recognition night, dance competition and turkey trot. Soccer shoot out and my group, was pretty good minus the fact that one to many balls almost hit me:(Evacuation went well! Team Pictures not AS bad of what I thought, but could've been less stressful. Recognition night was great, got a 3.8 :)Dance Competition was AMAZING, so cool seeing everyone dance. Turkey trot, one word: AWKWARD, but not bad. Now, these are just SOME of the things that went down in quarter 2 XD. I've also started a lot of new things, good and bad:/ We have magic notes now, pretty cool. Also, I ended up being a choreographer for orientation OOF. Definitely had ALOT of drama, istg. It's pretty funny how some of your relationships can grow stronger, but at the same time you have others that just fade away yk. I started talking to new
A101!
people, in and out of the class. I regret a lot of things too, like getting myself in a pretty DEEP hole and not completing AR YET. But, I know I'm gonna come back and be better than ever in the next. I just have a good feeling. Some of my favorite memories of this quarter were, having picnics afterschool with Jasmine, Ileana, Amber and Gabe or making vlogs with Cielle and Kaylee lol. Proud to say: I have all A's and B's! Just need AR... Anyways, I'm really excitedto see what 3rd quarter has in store:)

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this quarter. One highlight for me was having a better understanding of how things work in the class. This was a highlight for me because knowing how things work in the class, definitely helped me more compared to first quarter, for example: knowing how to work the jobs more and where things are. One lowlight for me was getting myself in a deep hole. This was a lowlight for me because it shows I was not doing what I was supposed to be doing and didn't have my priorities straight.

Friends!
A lesson I learned this quarter was to make mistakes right asap. This was my lesson for the whole quarter because I thought it really matched with what went on this quarter. I made mistakes that I'm not proud of that not only affected me, but others as well. If I had made mistakes right asap, things would've felt more comforting for me and I could've gone back to how things used to be. In the future, I will be sure to make mistakes up asap.

It’s Not Over Yet!

Elementary School Dance Competition Stage!
Magic Notes!
Hey guys! It’s Lindsey, here with another weekly blog. This week felt pretty long(again). My period was working ID’s. Monday,  If I’m being honest I was absolutely TERRIFIED to come in 101, I had screwed up so bad and wanted to make things right, right away. During my period, I started on magic notes for the week and caught up with my missing assignments. For the whole week during the morning, I hung out with my friend cielle making vlogs XD. We had a substitute in AVID, which was honestly one of the best things that happened that day. Tuesday, I had orientation practice again and I really think I’m starting to understand the chorus part and I’m hoping soon I get the rest haha. After practice tho, something pretty bad happened. I was walking with Ileana and Jasmine after practice and we saw our old classmate xavier so we said hi, but then mrs.orta comes out of legit NO WHERE and asks me to go to her room because of something important. I honestly had NO CLUE what the hell she was talking about, so I went (jasmine had to go) and mrs.orta tells me she got an email from MY account curssing at her. I had no idea, what the heck  she was talking about, so I look in my email and found the message sent at 1 something. I was in math at the time, so I didn’t send it and I think, no I KNOW I never wrote the draft for that. She believed me when I said I didn’t do it(thank god) and said to change my password asap. Wednesday, I made alot of vlogs with kaylee and cielle(separately) and istg, I would’ve had like 500 new pictureZ due to spamZ lmao. We also spray painted decorations for elementary school dance competition and OMG. IT GOT EVERY WHEREE. My hands, my hair and my face. It was just ahhhhhhh. Afterschool,  after orientation practice me and jasmine went to longs and this lady paid for our stuff! The whole thing! She was really nice. Thursday, was tiring. Ionk why, I had almost fallen asleep in english and math sucked. We had a sub and I didn’t like her. Oh! And we started a secret santa with jasmine, ileana, chloe, fatima and jaela. I honestly and happy with who I got:)We also had our social studies presentation, and my team lost:/ I went to 711 twice that day, the first with chloe, jasmine, ileana , fatima and gabe and the second with gabe and harryzen. Something funny, yet sad happened. So the first time I went to 7’s  chloe asked me “should i leave her(fatimas) water bottle?” i said “go” thinking it would be funny so she put it on the ground while we were in the crosswalk and told her last minute that she “dropped her water bottle” and we all laughed, but she wasn’t laughing. We all felt bad and apologized and yeah. I also worked the extra credit thing in the cafe afterschool and it was okay. Also, ANOTHER lady helped us pay for our stuff, which again was so nice! Friday, we had elementary school dance competition! In our period we finished putting up decorations, setting up and wiping down tables and moved things around. I also got back into the work schedule! Oh! And me, alexis and angel had the 7-3 party, which was honestly kinda boring. It WAS fun at first, when we did kahoot because we were screaming and were in a team, but during advisory they didn’t let us go back to A101and we were stuck watching a movie. I was pretty late coming back to school, because my dad was still at work and I still needed to get home and grab my yellow. Luckily, I don’t think I missed much. My job was room watcher and I was in the chorus room with jasmine, chanel, raquel and ahled. When there weren’t any schools in the room we all just talked and played hangman. I saw this girl named irie and I sorta had drama with her in the past, so I said hi, but rolled my eyes right after XD, #notsorry! Some other stuff happened before the actual competition started that wasn’t really good,ifykyk:/

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights for this week. One highlight for me was, “making things right”. This was a highlight for me because I was in a really deep hole, along  with some others and now I can see all the improvements that each of us had made and I’m glad to see A101 come back to the way it used too be. One lowlight for me was, not making up events sooner. This was a lowlight for me because, if I had made things up sooner I could’ve went back to the work schedule sooner.

A lesson I learned this week was to always make mistakes and absences up ASAP. I choose this to be my lesson for the week is because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had made things up sooner, I would’ve benefited myself sooner meaning going back to the work schedule and being able to come back in 101. In the future, I will be sure to always make mistakes and absences up ASAP.

Out of all the magic notes I’ve recieved this week I’d have to say my favorite is from Ileana. I liked her note the most because she reminded me of a few things that happened this week which were both funny and good and said I was real. Her note meant alot and I’m glad we’re on good terms. Thank you, I won’t be forgetting this not anytime soon.

Not a Good Start Back...

A101 Christmas Tree and My Decoration

Hey guys! It’s Lindsey here with another weekly blog! This week felt long, but didn’t end well. This week my period was working T.V. Monday, I was flying back home from seattle and was pretty tired the whole day. Tuesday, I had T.V. and was going on. We also cut up crowns as a decoration for elementary school dance competition. Wednesday, we had dance practice for orientation. I learned my song and started thinking about a few moves. We also had the E-Cigarette presentation and I was honestly surprised by the number of people who showed up! I also found out I missed a lot and now I have a worksheet and a commercial and research paper due on Tuesday, which isn’t really that bad. Thursday, we had dance practice again. I also ended up getting a C in social studies, over a grade my teacher told me to just bring in the next class, since I was absent the time they started, smh:/ .Friday, I was on tutoring, but also was going on T.V. I was stressing out too, because I hadn’t finished my magic notes, which ended up being a problem. The only good thing that happed that day, was getting my grade back up, so now I have all A’s and B’s(now I just need the rest of AR!).During homeroom and advisory, I stayed in Mrs. Orta’s room with alexis and finished up my research paper. Afterschool, when I went to go turn in my magic notes it was already too late, because some people had already gone home.

Track Meeting
Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, coming back to school ig. This was a highlight for me because, it meant I could catch up on work I had missed and got to see all my friends again! One lowlight for me was, not turning in magic notes. This was a lowlight for me because it shows that I wasted my time and not only affected myself, but the whole class.

A lesson I learned this week was , to not waste time on anything. The reason why I picked this to be my lesson for the week is because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I hadn’t wasted my time in completing magic notes they would’ve been done and I could’ve turned . them in earlier. I’m sorry to everyone'
s grade who’s gonna get effected for their weekly blog for not being complete. In the future, I will work on not wasting time in getting anything, especially simple tasks done.

This week there were no magic notes. Again, I’m sorry for not turning my magic notes in on time. It was selfish, irresponsible and not fair to everyone else who got theirs done on time.

Homesick!

Whistler Mountains!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog! This week was honestly really fun! My period was working music, but I didn't work since I was absent the WHOLE week. Monday, was my first official day of vacation! This was actually my 3rd time coming here(Canada)in a row!I was out snowboarding the entire day and it was pretty fun, but it frlZ HURT every single time I fell! That night I was soooo mf tired, but I still went out to go "exploring" around the hotel. Tuesday, I went snowboarding (again) and started catching up my homework. All I really had was my Hawaiian blog, a one pager and this blog XD. I also went shopping for my souvenirs. Wednesday, was my last day snowboarding XD. I went shopping for MORE souvenirs and bought for the entire period one, jasmine and Ileana. Thursday, I went zip-lining! It was longer and faster compared to the ones from the summer, which made it more exciting! It was also time to leave Canada and come to seattle! The drive was like 4 hours long and I basically slept the whole ride lol., Friday, I went to the mall and bought a lot of useless stuff haha. I also watched that new movie " The Possession of Hannah Grace" and I was legit SCARED AF. I also signed up to work an event on Wednesday, to makeup Thursday, which is really great!Today, we visited a famous market in downtown and took a lot of pictures! We also have a maze event tonight, which I'm actually looking forward too! I'm also starting to finish up on my assignments, which is pretty good considering that I haven't really worked on them as much as I should've oof.
Seattle Gum Wall!

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight that happened this week was, just being on vacation in general. This was a highlight for me because, after everything happening at school and home it just helps to get away for a little while and just have a good time yk. One lowlight for me was, missing school. This was a lowlight for me because, even though vacation is always intended to be fun, you still miss a lot of what is happening at school

A lesson I learned this week was to always do what you can to keep up with work. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had worked on my assignments more this week, it would've been done way sooner. In the future, I will always do what I can to keep up with my work.

Aloha Hawaii!

Turkey Trot Preparations!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog! This week was pretty short. My period was working I.D.'s. Monday, we had team pictures! I really should've yelled more while the team's were trying to fit in the box, so I have regrets. I could DEFINITLEY tell, most people didn't want to be there and that they didn't care, smh. I also hung out with Jasmine, Ileana, Gabe and Amber, but there was a lot of drama and I honestly wish it went better yk. Tuesday, we had team pictures again with my favorite teams, 7-3 and 8-3 and I actually yelled more. We also worked on our display boards. I also finished half of my AR goal and got my grades up, which was pretty good.Wednesday, was the turkey trot and it awkward, yet sort of fun. Some people said hi to me and I got a few high fives. I also took pictures with Jasmine, Ileana, other Jasmine, Cielle and harryzen, which came out pretty nice. I also was taught a "trick"(ifykyk) that almost broke my hand, oof. I tried that trick on some of my friends(with the
Bestfriends<3
ir permission) Xyrille, Cielle, Steven, Jonah and Harryzen and each one had the same reaction. Thursday, was thanksgiving! Spending time with my family can get CRAZY, but still sort of nice. I don't hate the holiday, but it honestly just gives me bad memories from what happened a few years back, ifykyk. Friday, was black Friday and this is the first year I haven't gone shopping, because of "circumstances. Instead of shopping, I helped my grandma set up Christmas lights around her house. Today, I'm still packing for my trip and I'm basically stuck in my house all day until my flight tonight to Canada.I also managed to get sick, yay:((

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight that happened this week was taking pictures with my friends. This was a highlight for me because, pictures are like memories that can be shown anytime you want and I love making and seeing memories with my friends all the time. One lowlight that happened this week was not yelling or speaking up more during the first day of team pictures. This was a lowlight for me because, I shouldn't stay quite and not do anything whenever we have events, that just wastes time.

A lesson I learned this week was to always speak up. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week is because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had spoken up more during the first day of team pictures, things on my side would've gotten done faster and more run more smoothly. In the future, I'm going to learn how to speak up more during events.

Memories that'll Last Forever...

Recognition Night Jobs!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog. This week was honestly a memorable one. My period was working T.V. Monday, we had no school! I honestly don't remember what I did that day lol. Tuesday, was actually pretty good. At first I was stressing out about not finishing AR, but then found out that progress reports were on next week Wednesday! Afterschool, was high-key amazing. Me, Ileana, Amber and Gabe hung out just like old times during the summer(ifykyk), but this time jasmine didn't come with us:(, but we did have Amber! We went boba (provided by amber) and spilt some tea... Then while we were walking everyone kept chasing some birds behind the building LMAO. We ended up back at Ilima because I wanted to see some people in UPLINK. Wednesday, we had recognition night and I had earned a 3.8 GPA! I worked by the exits telling people to sign in if they didn't already and  helped greet people in. I unfortunately, don't think I did my original job (reader) correctly, so I ended up doing a different one and I have many regrets. I also carpooled with Ileana, since my parents were working that night and I was home alone. It was kind of scary waiting, but really funny at the same time since we were doing a lot of stupid things haha. Thursday, I earned ALOT of homework that I have to do right after this blog:((. Afterschool, we all hung out (again),but this time went 7's and had a "picnic" in Ileana's mom's classroom. This time, Gabe kept on dancing and it was freaking HILARIOUS lol. Friday, we went boba(again XD), but I didn't get home until 4.

Hanging Out!
Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, having after school adventures. This was a highlight for me was because, like I have mentioned before it's been while since me and that group had hung out and we definitely went through hell and back, but with all of us reconnecting it showed that we are all kewl now and yeahh. One lowlight for me was, not being productive in Recognition Night. This was a lowlight for me because, during recognition night after they finished calling honor roll students, I was working in one of the stations, but like I said before, I don't think I did my job correctly for half the time so I was being unproductive, until Mr. Ing told me to take pictures using families phones if they wanted them, since the camera's couldn't fit everyone.

Magic Notes!
A lesson I learned this week was, to always stay PRODUCTIVE in whatever it is you are doing. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had stayed productive, things might've gone quicker or easier. In the future, I'm going to always try to be productive.

Out of all the magic notes I've received this week, my favorite magic note(s) would probably be from Raquel and Shantel. I picked there magic notes because, they stood out. Raquel, told me really positive and sweet things, like how she wishes I'm feeling better and that she cares. Shantel, told me good things that happened this week, like how we have gotten a little closer(which is good, since a lot of people tell me I should be less shy and a little more social). Both magic notes definetly made my day. Thank you, I definitely won't be forgetting these notes anytime soon.

Much Regrets!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog! This week was pretty stressful, but somewhat okay ig. My period was working music. Monday, was the second and last day of soccer shoot-out. It was honestly kind of fun and my group was really cool, but I DEFINITLEY could've done without the soccer ball's almost hitting me again lol. That night my half sister Sachiko, came to visit and we went to the mall. Tuesday, we didn't have school, so I just stayed in my home and hung out with my friend's (Kiana, Isaac and Sky) until night came. I also changed one of my grades, to a B, so that was good. Wednesday, I was really stressed out trying to fix my grade in social studies! I DID, find out what I can do to fix things for social studies , so I started prepping. We also had started getting things for ISA ready. Also,  my dad came home from Vegas. Thursday, I did the work that I needed to finish in social studies, so all I had to do was wait. Unfortunately, I was too late and found out I couldn't work the next day:(Friday, wasn't exactly the best day. Quick story: While I helped set up for a little while for ISA, I kept feeling my phone buzz. I didn't want to check it though, because I didn't think it was anything important, but wow. I was wrong! When I was in my substitute homeroom, I checked the time on my phone since my watch was dead and the clock was always wrong in that class and I found out my grade got raised from a D to a B in social studies, WHILE I was moving things around. I was SOO mad and disappointed at myself for not checking it earlier, but I realized it was WAY too late. I went to my social studies teacher, Mrs. Orta for homeroom and advisory and went to my math teacher, Ms. Sam for period one. All of not so good things happened that day(not just being able to not work ISA that day)that I don't really want to get into and well ifykyk.. Throughout the week I went through emotions/events both good and bad.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, bringing my grades up. This was a highlight for me because, It showed that I put enough effort to bring my F's all the way up to B's. One lowlight for me was, not being able to work ISA. This was a lowlight for me because, it meant that it would be effecting my grades since I didn't participate AND I was unable to help out not just the class, but other schools, so I apologize.

SOO... this happened!
Magic Notes Part 2!
Magic Notes Part 1
A lesson I learned this week was, to always stay updated on things. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought I really matched with what went on this week. If I had stayed updated on my grades, I might've gotten a thin chance to work ISA. In the future, I'm going to ALWAYS stay updated on ANYTHING I come across.

Out of all the magic notes I've received this week, my favorite magic note would probably be from Shantel. I picked her magic note to be my favorite because, it stood out. She told me some really good and detailed advice about grades that I would definitely use and somehow still managed to make me laugh a little in the beginning, haha! The note is really helpful to read and just really nice! Thank you, I definitely won't be forgetting this note anytime soon!

#SpookySyzn'sOver!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog. This week was pretty fun, yet a little sad. This week my period was working I.D. stand. Monday, we had an assignment with our goal boxes. Each period got assigned a type of goal and my period got the short term goals, folded as foxes! Tuesday, I was high-key stressing tf out because of math and social studies! Out of all my classes, I'd say I HATE these two the most(not highly dislike, legit HATE). Wednesday, was pretty fun because it was Halloween! Almost all of period one had jobs that morning. I was honestly kind of disappointed with my costume because it was like a DIY gone wrong lol! I was supposed to go for a little red riding hood look, but I didn't have the cape(I high-key regret not asking Alexis to borrow hers lol)! So throughout the day I kept getting comments like " What are you supposed to be, cholo or something?" or "OOO dress-code!". I had two choices: 1)keep flannel on and look kind of stupid or 2)remove flannel and have a chance of getting dress-coded. We also had the talent show, where there was only two performances. Leialoha was...interesting, yet she got A LOT of people hyped up frlZ, including Gabe considering he was legit SCREAMING in my ear! haha! JAAAM, was freaking AMAZING without a doubt and I think my friend Harryzen has a crush on one of the girls! LOL!! Right after-school, I took that flannel off and tried some boba! It was pretty funny, when everyone kept trying to advertise the boba so we would sell out, lmao. I also took pictures with Ileana, Amber and Harryzen! Once I got home, I finished most of my homework and had some chores to finish. I then showered and carved a pumpkin with my friend Jordan. Afterwards, I got ready to go out and went with my friends Kiana and Jordan. I ended up seeing A LOT of people, I didn't expect to see. I saw my ex bestfriend Rosslyn, old friend Annie aka kelly-ann who is now a baddie at school..., Ileana's sister Lena, 8th graders (I'm pretty sure it was: Mikka, Chanel, Mjay and Tristiny) and some old teacher's( Mrs. Senerius and Ms. Vaughn). Thursday, just killed off any good vibes I was getting off of the day before, because of all the assignments we had SMH! Bindersaures did pay us a little visit and I ended up passing! Honestly, I'm shishstar shook on how Mrs. Stock can handle being in that costume! Friday, was irritating and ended off really sad. We started the day with evacuation and my friend David was legit pissing me off. He kept on yelling at me saying " LINDSEY, YOUR NOT DOING YOUR JOB RIGHT, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TAKE AWAY HER PHONE" OR "I'M TELLING ON YOU". I frlZ wanted to tell him off explaining what I was there to do, but I realized I didn't want to get in trouble for socializing so I stayed quiet looking the other way, while he ran his mouth from behind. Once we got back, we started setting up for soccer shoot-out. I like my group and things went pretty smooth there. Except for the fact, A ball almost hit me and I frlZ got scared! What happened in science, however really got to me. I don't want to go into detail, but it involves me, my bestfriend Kaylee and a guy named Braeden. I talked to him about the "conflict" after class and I don't even know anymore... I'm legit "craughing"(Ileana knows what I'm talking about lol)atm writing about that haha. Throughout the week, I went through emotions, both good and bad.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, just the entire day on Wednesday. This week was a highlight for me because it was Halloween night, and since it only happens once every 365 days it was special and not just because of the treats! One lowlight for me was, struggling in my classes (again). This was a lowlight for me because like I've mentioned before, I hate getting bad grades and it just feels like a reminder that I'm not doing my best.

A lesson I learned this week was, to always keep up with grades and try not to slip. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. If I had thought before my grades went down, I wouldn't be in this situation and my grades would be in order. In the future, I'm going to try my best to not come up to this issue again.

Out of all the magic notes I've received this week, my favorite magic note(s) would probably be from Ahled and Ileana. I picked their magic notes to be my favorite because they both stood out. Ahled told me another poem that once again made me laugh, LOL! Ileana told me positive things that me feel happy and appreciated. Both notes made me smile and brought up some really funny memories haha! Thank you, I definitely won't be forgetting these notes anytime soon.

Average and Unforgettable!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog. This week was pretty okay. This week my period my period was working CCTV. Monday, we got our report cards! I'm honestly kind of proud of myself, but a little sad. I only had a 3.8, and was pretty close to a 4.0 so still okay I guess. Tuesday, we had that stroke assembly in 5th period so I got to miss my original class. It felt a little weird though, when the class I was supposed to be in came and I got to greet and them to their table lol! My favorite part of that day was during DIVA, I "exposed" one of my bestfriends Ohemaa when we shared our entry journal's lmbo!! I also spent much needed time with a handful of really close friends of mine and overall had a pretty good day. Wednesday, was pretty basic haha, I did stress out on homework, but that's nothing really new. Thursday, was my birthday. Friday, I received ALOT of work I needed to do for homework, so that kind of sucks. Throughout the week, I went through a lot of emotions, both good and bad.

Highights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, getting my report card. This was a highlight for me because, I'm pretty proud on how I did, I definitely LOVE the grading system in middle school way more than Elementary!! One lowlight for me was, procrastinating on some of my work in and out of class. This was a lowlight for me because, procrastinating never solves anything, like I've said before, It definitely left some sad consequences on my side too.

A lesson I learned this week was to always think before you do something. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought it matched with what went on this week. If I had thought before I did something bad to myself, then I would have at least have more consideration on what I did. This lesson is quite different from the others. Now, I'm not saying I regret what I have done, but I would definitely think and take a longer time deciding on whether I should make the choice to do what I've done to myself again in the future.

Out of all the magic notes I've received this week, my favorite would probably be from Angel. I picked her note because it stood out. She told me funny inside jokes that probably only me and her would understand and told me some "helpful" tips lol! It definitely made me laugh and sort of ties back to my lesson. Thank you, I definitely won't be forgetting this note anytime soon.

Retreat:The Dougnut Activity!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with an early blog reflecting on: The Doughnut Activity! The Doughnut activity! The Doughnut Activity was a simple process, where myself along with my period came together to make a quote. Starting off with each of us sharing our personal quotes from our bio cubes. Afterwards sharing came along, and we were instructed to come together and create a group quote using key words from each of our own quotes. The quote would then be used as a reminder to our period to let us know if we follow it, we will strive together successfully!

My quote that I choose to be on my bio cube and the Doughnut Paper Activity was:" Self Love is the source of all other loves". I honestly really LOVED my quote lol! What it means is that, before you can love anything else you need to learn how to love yourself. What it means to ME and what I think of my quote is that, in this competitive and stressful world loving yourself is most important because it can make things run more smoothly knowing that you have love inside your self, before you can show it towards anyone or anything else.

My period's quote was: "Together there are no limits to what you can love through difficult times you take for granted." The part that was from my quote that was put into our period's quote was the love part. This part went into my period's quote because, since we picked key word's from each of our personal quote, I thought "love" was my key word. My word(love), meaning what we should always be doing and showing. From that point, we all shared each of our key words and came up with our quote.

Like I have mentioned before, myself and my periods quote was: "Together there are no limits to what you can love through difficult times you take for granted." I honestly LOVE this quote as well, along with my personal quote. Myself and my period's quote means that when work as a team, together we don't have limits to what we love during hard times that some of us take for granted. In other words we must collaborate with one another to have no end to the love we can give and produce even when we come across difficult situations, we take for granted.

During this activity, I learned that when you work together in a group, you can come up with many good idea's. The reason I choose this to be my lesson for this activity was because it really matched with what went on. Coming together as a group and just having a safe atmosphere around you really helps get thing's done with manty different perspective's and thought's. I know this because once we collaborated together and shared our quotes, we got things done quicker. In the future, I will think about this lesson anytime I'm working.

Start of Something New(aka Quarter 2)!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog! This week was pretty good. This week my period was working music mixer. Monday, we had no school. I spent that day hanging out with my friend Rosslyn, watching Netflix and playing fornite for the first time! It's honestly still kind of dumb, like why can't I go up a huge hill without building or what's the point of the storm?! SMH! Tuesday, we had a substitute in English, did an escape room in math and finished work from last quarter in social studies. I also ended up going boba and back to Pohakea. Wednesday, we reflected back from retreat, voted on posters in DIVA (backwards) and started a new lesson in science. Thursday, we watched a movie in English and it was really boring frl so I drew, finished up work in math and had that earthquake drill, which kind of sucked because my neck was in pain right after:( and we had a CFA in social studies. I was in the middle of drama between Rosslyn and her boyfriend, which felt really awkward! When I came home, I hung out with a friend that moved away, Kiana and met some of her friends, while taking A LOT of pictures lol! Friday, we got to see where all the sections are for ISA, took a CFA in DIVA(backwards) and had new seats in science(but me and my friend Kaylee just stayed in the same spots lmao!) and had a mini test. We started having math problems this week and had magic notes! I even went shopping this morning, STRESSING OUT on what to get Angel, Savonnah and Kaylee for their birthdays! I eventually found something's(thanks Ileana for the help lol) and hope you guys like what I bought! Also, I'm getting REALLY excited for what's going down on this weeks Thursday!

Highlights and Low lights. There were many highlights and low lights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, meeting new people and hanging out with a close friend. This was a highlight for me because, I enjoy talking and reuniting with people! One low light for me was, stressing out on the gifts! Honestly! This was a low light for me because, I overall think I can be a chill person, but this morning I was running around the mall not knowing what to buy and how to budget my money, with a dying phone!

A lesson I learned this past week was to keep clam and relax. The reason why I chose this to be my lesson for the week was because, I thought it matched with what went on this week. If I had stayed calm and relaxed in my trip this morning, I would've got things done faster and more efficient(this could definitely during school as well, when I could possibly have an assignment/project). In the future, I will make sure to ALWAYS keep calm and relax, so I don't run into this issue again.

Out of all the magic notes I received this week, my favorite would probably be from Mikka. I picked her note because it stood out. She told me very detailed compliments and positive things, that was nice to hear. It made me feel appreciated and a little more better about myself knowing that I have helpful people who are here with me the entire year. Thank you, I definitely won't be forgetting this note anytime soon.

RETREAT 2018-2019

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with another weekly blog, this time focusing on the time I spent at retreat! The 3 days I spent with the class, was 3 days I sure as heck won't forget! Wednesday(Day1) started off early with me stressing out! I had woken up at around 5 in the morning and was still really tired. I had some more things to pack and honestly didn't feel like starting my day. I ended up leaving my house at I think 6:50. It also turned out that Ileana needed to carpool, so otw my dad  and I picked her up. We met up with jasmine at the front of Ilima and walked to boy's and girl's club. It was really awkward walking with all our stuff in front of everyone at boy's and girls because they kept looking at the 3 of us like we were homeless or something. We waited for the bus to come and when it did, it was time to say goodbye to our technology and load/board the bus. It felt REALLY long getting there, but the views that we got to see around the island was kind of worth it. Once we got there, we set up the meeting table and starting unpacking. We then had our first session, where we discussed strengths and weaknesses about our group and how we can fix them/ stay that way. We settled in once more and had lunch. Session 2 was a quarter one review. We talked about activities and events we did over the summer up until now, and sorta highlights and lowlights for each of them. We had a break, which I think almost all my breaks were spent talking outside with Jasmine and Amber by the beach. Session 3 was breakout. My period had Kaya 1st, to make a little booklet based on Hawaiian words and what they meant to us. We also got to practice for the talent show afterwards. Session 4 was quarter 2 planning. Each period got to pick activities to plan for, and I think I can remember my period choose Winter Door Decorations and Elementary School Dance Competition. I think after that we had Dinner(provided by Mr. Shim and accompanied by Matthew and Kalepo ). We then had chopped! My period went last and it turned out we ended up winning, with our signature Nutella banana lumpia coated with sugar! That was it for Day One at the retreat house. Thursday(Day 2) started off with breakfast with one another. We than had Session 5, which was quarter 3 planning. I think my period choose Mini activities and Penny/can goods. We then had a break. Afterwards was stewardship, where we basically just cleaned. Each period got assigned a section of the house(outside) to clean, my period handled to backyard and a small part of the front yard. We than had lunch and free time. Afterwards was session 6, which was breakout(continued). My period had Ari, where we made goals( short, mid and long) for the entire year and put them in a box. I think afterwards we had dinner. Than had session 7, which was the last breakout. My period had Shayna, where we wrote our quotes from our bio cubes into poster paper and came up with a group quote. Afterwards was the talent show! My period went second and I think we overall did pretty okay, even though I messed up for some parts. Than it was lights out. Friday(Day 3) started off with breakfast again. We than started packing up because it was the last day(sadly) and had a break afterwards. Than it was session 8, where we had quarter 4 planning. This time we were split into groups and my group discussed about graduation. We transitioned into a break, than eventually lunch. Immediately after lunch, we each changed into our yellows because it was picture time! We went back inside to than have interviews! My period started us off and I wasn't as nervous as I thought I was going to be. After that we started our final cleaning and moved stuff to the garage. We waited for about 2 hours till the bus came and dropped us back home.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened these past few 3 days. One highlight for me was, getting to know my period a little more better. This was a highlight for me because it improves my relationship with my period better considering I spent 3 days with them! One lowlight for me was forgetting some things at home. This was a lowlights for me because I honestly really needed those items and I didn't have them to help me with some problems I faced.

A lesson I learned these past 3 days was to ALWAYS remember to double check your things/work/items. The reason why I chose this to be my lesson for was because, I really thought it matched with what went on these past 3 days. If I had remembered to check my things before I left my house, I would've been more prepared and some what " a little more satisfied" with my first year experience at the retreat house. In the future, I will make sure to ALWAYS double check my things/work/items, so I don't run into this issue again.

My favorite Magic Note would probably be from Ari. I picked her note to be my favorite because it stood out. She was upfront and straight up gave me really good and inspiring advice about the class, that I definitely will use. It made me feel pretty reassured and a little more better about myself knowing that I have helpful people who are with me the entire year. I definitely won't be forgetting this note anytime soon.

That's a Wrap for 1st Quarter!

Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, here with another weekly blog! This week went by REALLY slow. This week my period was working the ID stand. Monday, was the first day we started team intramurals. The crowds were CRAZY. Mainly the 8th graders. A lot kept screaming in my ear and kept stepping outside the box, so that was kind of annoying, but it was still cool seeing the game.
We also started cleaning out A102 and arranged them back in A101, but in the end it ended up being put back.Tuesday, I starting getting ready for grade check the next day. I was stressing out a lot that day because I still had a C in social studies after a whole week and a D in science. It was an easy fix for science, but not as much for social studies. That night I also fell asleep REALLY late because I needed to finish a science project I didn't even started, finish a personal narrative and my math packet. Wednesday, I still had that C and I was definitely losing hope. I at least got my other things done and was passing all my other classes, so that was good? It was also the last day for intramurals of the quarter, which was kind of sad. Thursday, I was DETERMINED to get my grade back up, even though I was pretty sure I wasn't going retreat, I still wanted to end off the quarter with grades my dad would be proud of. It was basically working the entire day in each period. When it came to social studies, I was given a BLESSING. An extra credit assignment that would raise my grade. I think I was the ONLY person who turned it in the next day, even though it was due the day we got back from fall break lol. Friday, I ended up RE DOING the extra credit assignment she gave some of us. Apparently, I was supposed to read a "4th grade article" instead of a 7th grade. I still got it done by advisory and turned it in with alexis, because we both needed to talk to our teachers. At the end of the day, I ended up getting my grade raised to a B!We also switched our seats and now I'm sitting by savonnah! I was sooooo happy, that I could cross my name off that list! Throughout the week, each time I went to my 5th period(science) it was AWKWARD. That guy that I keep bumping into, seriously has a staring issue frl, it honestly kinda bugs me, but I want to honestly start getting along with people better.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, improving my grade in social studies. This is a highlight for me because after a
week and a half I finally made it off both of the probation and tutoring list. One lowlight for me was, changing my grade at the very last minute. This is a lowlight for me because although I ended up with a good grade I still kept that C for a while, which meant I could've done more sooner to get my grade back up and I wouldn't have been stressing out on the final days of quarter one.

A lesson I learned this week was to, always find opportunities to do something better in school. The reason why I choose this to my lesson was because, I really thought it matched with what went on this week. Like I have mentioned before, I had opportunities to fix my grade in social studies
sooner so I would have had an acceptable grade. Instead, It was towards the last minute I had my grade changed and I definitely would have had A LOT less stress that week, than I should've had. In the future I will make sure to find opportunities to do something better in school.

2018-2019 1ST QUARTER BLOG,

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with my first quarterly blog. Wow! First quarter is almost up! It seems like it was just yesterday, I was walking to the first meeting as a 6th grader, ready for whatever this class has to offer. If one thing is for sure though, it's that summer in bridge /work days are a COMPLETELY different thing from actual school days! Middle school is also a whole new atmosphere than Elementary school. Like, on the first day of school up until now it's been transitioning classes instead of staying in one. Different classes, mean different teachers. I'd honestly say I got lucky with being in 7-3. Almost all of my teachers are just so nice and understanding, which is a great help. With that we had assignments that definitely pushed me over and some that was a total breeze. The best part about this quarter I'd say is getting to stay close with my best friends and reconnect with old ones. As for my time in leadership, I thought it would be much more difficult than what it actually is. The people here are really nice and welcoming, but I honestly wish I could've gotten closer to everyone in this class.  We had a lot of events happening and planning as well, since school started. We had worked intramurals, had reunion, presented bio cubes, sign waving and had picture taking. For assignments in this class, it hasn't been much of a struggle I needed to work on. I read 5 books in total to finish AR and I haven't missed a blog yet, which is pretty good. Towards the end of the quarter, I unfortunately ended up on probation and tutoring because of science and social studies. I raised up my grade for science up until an A, at the moment I still have a C in social studies, other than that I'm getting all A's, which is pretty cool. Even though my grades aren't exactly perfect and I'm still trying to get to know everyone, school has been going good. Way more hyped up, helpful and fun than elementary without a doubt. I'm getting really excited to see what 2nd quarter has in store for me and everyone else.

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights for this quarter. One of my best Highlights so far would be meeting new people and reconnecting with old ones. Like, In avid I made a new friend named Harryzen, and basically everyone is really nice. Also in science I started talking to my friend again (back when I was in Holomua) named Kaylee. One of my worst lowlights was getting on tutoring and probation. Once, this happened I knew I had to whatever I could to get off, so I was able to go retreat, but now I don't even think that's possible. Now, I'm pretty determined to get a B so at least I can make my Dad and great grandma proud.

A lesson I learned this quarter is to always try to get closer to your peers. The reason why I choose this to be my overall lesson, is because I thought it really matched with what went on these past 3 months. I absolutely regret not talking/interacting to everyone, especially talking to the 8th graders this quarter. I've also realized if I had talked to everyone in the class, it would be easier for me to ask for help and not having everything feel awkward. In the future, I will eventually learn to appreciate everyone in this class and be close to them.

GLO#1: Self Directed Learner: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, taking responsibility of all my assignments and gave personal reminders to get things done.
GLO#2: Community Contributor: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, assisting most of my peers when they were in need of help.
GLO#3: Complex Thinker: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, solving my own and helping out my peers when myself and others were in need of help with stuff like assignments and physical problems.
GLO#4 Quality Producer: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, feeling confident with almost all of my assignments whenever I had to turn them in.
GLO#5 Effective Communicator: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, not being afraid to ask my peers(certain) for help when I needed it.
GLO#6 Effective and ethical User of Technology: I demonstrated this GLO this quarter by, respectfully using technology at the appropriate time.
