Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, here with another weekly blog! This week was definitely eventful. This week my period was working TV. Monday, was the first day that 7th graders got to go on TV for the school year. I was really nervous and scared because I found out I would be going on the next day. However, while I was checking my grades on infinite campus that day I found out I got my first D in social studies:(. That meant I was also on probation for my first time:(. Tuesday, was the day I was supposed to go on TV, but since I was on probation I didn't think I could. I still could though, I just had to come in at 7:30. I honestly think I did bad 1/4 of the time. Which meant my mic was off 1/4 of the time during the broadcast, which I thought was REALLY embarrassing and I hope, no I really hope I don't do this again. Wednesday, was the first day I wasn't aloud to work along with the rest of the week. I also had a HUGE test in social studies so I had to literally pray, that I studied hard enough. Thursday, was a pretty average day and nothing much happened. Friday, I had a good thing and a bad thing happen at the exact same time. My English teacher, had told us to check our grade for her class in infinite campus and I was doing pretty well in her class, but I also saw that my grade in social studies turned into a C instead of D so that was a small, but good improvement. Sadly for science I had gotten a C. So currently, I'm on tutoring. Luckily, apart of my good thing was that I spoke to my science teacher and she just said I was missing my science notebook and I luckily have it. It was pretty gloomy this week and it rained a lot, which sucked because I biked.
There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this week. One highlight for me was, going on TV for the first time. This is a highlight for me because even though I messed up for some parts, I still thought it was pretty exciting. One lowlight for me was, getting bad grades and getting on probation. This is a lowlight for me because this is my first time this year having a bad grade and going on probation which is really disappointing for me.
A lesson I learned this week was to, always try to stay on top of my grades, meaning reach my goals of getting A's and B's. The reason why I chose this to be my lesson was because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. I absolutely HATE getting bad grades, so this incident was not so amazing. In the future, I will make sure to always be focused on work and be more responsible so I won't be able to worry and stress out.

Learn from the Past, To Improve the Future!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, here with another weekly blog! This week was honestly really fun for me, but at the same time it felt really long. This week I worked the ID stand. Monday, we started talking about what our periods would be doing for the talent show and chopped during retreat. I'm really liking what my periods planning out and I'm really hoping I can keep up with my grades! Tuesday, I had a CFA in English and started a new module in math. Wednesday, we did the same thing as Monday and I had a quiz in AVID. We also had sign waving in front of the school with the royal prodigies, and it was really exciting. Also, during advisory that day we had a homeroom rep meeting in the chorus room, for intramurals. Science, we had a CFA. Thursday, we got to make/remix a song/poem in social studies and I'm pretty proud of what me and my partner came up with, we started planning out personal narratives in English and we took a test in math. Friday, we continued off our planning and I had finished my AR for the quarter, which I'm pretty glad of. We played ING-O during homeroom and class. AVID was interesting because we had a substitute and things went by really fast. We had half an hour left when we had finished everything we needed to do, me and my group played mash and I got to draw on my friend:). Science, we had a group project and I started talking getting to know this person and he so far seems really nice. Later on that day, I went ohana fair with my friends and I had an absolutely AMAZING time because I saw some old friends, played games and took ALOT of pictures.Throughout the week, I had started waiting for savannah at her volleyball practice everyday, which I think in total is two hours per day. I also had some drama happening with some of my friends and some acquaintances, which was really sad, but you know stuff happens I guess.
There were many highlights and lowlights happening this week. One highlight for me was, going Ohana fair last night. This was a highlight for me because like I've mentioned before it was really fun, honestly it was a great distraction from everything that's been happening in my life, I can't wait till next years one and I was just so happy! One lowlight for me was, having drama with my friends/acquaintances. This was a lowlight for me because I feel drama is just terrible to have, especially in school and it just really sucks.
A lesson I learned this week was to, always stay out or try your best to avoid drama. The reason why I choose this lesson was because, I thought it really matched with what went on this week. I've said it before, I'm gonna say it again drama is TERRIBLE. I should be thinking about positive things, instead of the negative. I should focus on what can make a better student, not what can make me a bad one. From now on, I will try my very best to not be mixed up in all of the drama and focus on my grades. I really hope that I won't come up to this situation ever again.

Goals Achieved and I'm Relieved!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, with another weekly blog! This week was pretty good for me, yet EMBARRASSING at the same time. My period was originally working ID's up until Wednesday, when our progress reports came out. Monday, I had to definitely get started on my AR. I think, in all I had read about 650 pages in total to reach half of my AR goal. I'm pretty glad that my book level was at a 5.1, because to me I got to read my favorite books. Tuesday, I had finished taking all my AR tests, which was pretty cool. Wednesday, I had gotten my progress report in homeroom and I'm actually proud of myself. I had gotten A's and one B, which meant I didn't need to have probation or tutoring. Yay! During math we were taking this sorta pre-test and my phone rang so many times! I was so uncomfortable and I thought whoever was calling would stop the first time, but no! After class, I did say sorry to my teacher, but from now on I REALLY need to start keeping my phone on silent. Thursday, I actually did have ID's again, but this time I worked with some people who weren't in my period. In first period, I helped make the intro for Friday. For science though, I was stressing out because we had this one pager project about natural resources and me and my partner hadn't finished, but luckily my teacher said we could finish it at home and bring it back on Monday. Friday, I was working music mixer. I also had another test in math. I think I did okay, but honestly I hated it. I then had a quiz in social studies, which was ehh. After school, I went to get another book for the next time I take AR. Throughout the week *cough cough* (you know who you are) kept on embarrassing me in front of this person in my science class and it was nothing short of humiliating! I also started waking up late this week and almost BARELY making it to school on time, which really sucks.
There were many highlights and lowlights this week. One highlight for me was, getting good grades. This was a highlight for me because it shows that I've worked hard enough from when we first started school, up until we got our first progress reports and like I've mentioned before I'm proud of myself for it. One lowlight for me was not turning in my mini reunion project on time. This was a lowlight for me because it shows that I wasn't prepared or being responsible with my work.
A lesson I learned this week was, to always make your work is completed and ready to turn in. The reason why I chose this lesson was because, I really thought it matched with what went on this week. I was unable to turn in my mini reunion project because of my irresponsible behavior and technical difficulties. Instead, I should've made sure everything was in order the night before it was due. I really hope that I won't come up to this situation ever again.

BIO CUBES
Hey guys! It's Lindsey here with my 2nd assignment blog, in leadership! Bio cubes. A project that started way back during the summer. Once we were given that piece of cardboard, the brainstorming and planning had started. 6 sides, 6 different category's to fill out with information about ourselves. The sides we had were: Pictures and Name, Back-round, Significance, Personality, Obstacle and Quote. Our pictures and name side, was pretty much self explanatory when I first heard of it, we needed 3 pictures of ourselves and our name. Our back-round side,we needed an explanation on where we came from before this class and facts about ourselves. Our significance side, we needed to list some things that we value in life and why they matter to us. Our personality side, we needed to talk about what our personality was like. Our obstacle side, we needed to open up about challenges we faced/face and how we overcame/ gonna overcome them. Our quote side, we needed to say some quotes/ quote that we find to be motivational and inspirational, what they mean and why we choose them. That pretty much wraps up our sides of our bio cubes. Each period was assigned a due date to finish these by the end of that month. We then took them to our beach field trip at the end of summer, to present to our assigned alumni's. These beautiful creations are now hung up in A101, modeled to everyone who comes across from it.
There were many highlights and lowlights that happened during this 3 month project. One highlight for me was, completing this project(Writing portion) with absolute confidence. This
is a highlight for me because while I worked on this project I felt very sure, that I had completed the information about me with my very best effort, I am confident that my sentences are clear and by reading my bio cube anyone would get an accurate sense of who I am. A lowlight for me was, not decorating my bio cube, the way I intended too. This is a lowlight for me because, when I had first planned out my bio cube I had envisioned something way different from what my final product had looked like due to my irresponsibile behavior to get the supplies I needed to get the end product I had desired. In the end, even if my bio cube wasn't how I planned it out to be, it came out to be something I am satisfied with.
A lesson I've learned these past 3 months, while working on these bio cubes was to be responsible and plan things ahead of time. The reason why I've chosen this to be my overall goal was because I thought it really matched with what went on during this event. Looking back and reflecting, I've realized at some points I wasn't being responsible with this assignment and ended up with a different product then I had intended to have. In the future I will learn to be more responsible and plan things ahead of time by knowing what I have to do and actually doing it, so I'm left with a product that I had originally intended to have.
GLO #1 Self-Directed Learner: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by completing this project independently and knowing what to do.
GLO #2 Community Contributor: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by completing the assignment clear enough so that that people would have a good understanding of who I am and what my project is about
GLO #3 Complex Thinker: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by problem solving any errors I had during this project such as with printing, writing and decorating.
GLO #4 Quality Producer: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by feeling confident with my assignment when I was finished with it.
GLO #5 Effective Communicator: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by communicating with others, when they needed assistance with their bio cubes.
GLO #6 Effective and ethical User of Technology: During Bio Cubes, I demonstrated this GLO by going online to do my project productively and not get distracted.

Things Get Real in A101!
Hey guys! It's Lindsey again, with another weekly blog. This week was really simple, yet exciting at the same time in my opinion. My period was working TV this week, which I think is pretty fun, but at the same time I think working this particular shift, I could use some more improvement in. Also, this week we had shifts, but since my period had TV everyone had to work. Monday, we didn't have any school, which was pretty nice. Tuesday, we had a pretty normal day, but we did get a new teacher in math and she seems okay. I also decided to go to the volleyball meeting afterschool with Savonnah and Ileana. I'm honestly still thinking if I wanna join, but I mainly care about finding something I will enjoy and keep me busy. Wednesday, we shared bio cubes in front of our period and Mr. Ing. Thursday, was the last day we had intramurals, which I was kinda glad and kinda sad of. Friday, was the day cross country had it's meet, so that meant we had to go to our "substitute" homerooms/advisory's for the day. I went to Mrs. Stock's room with angel where we were allowed to use our phones during homeroom and went to our first 7-3 meeting during advisory! It was pretty fun and really hyped up. Also we learned that our teams mascot was a llama! So cute! For the last period of the day, cross country had came back so I got to stay in A101, instead of going back to Mrs, Stocks.
There were many highlights and lowlights this week. A highlight for me was getting to upgrade my bike. I was really excited because in the end my bike turned out looking 100% better than what it had looked like before. A lowlight for me was finishing my blog late. I felt irresponsible with myself, because I had forgotten to publish it and ended up turning it in RIGHT at 6:00pm.
A lesson I learned this week was, to never forget about assignments. I really thought this lesson matched with what went on this week. The reason why I think that is because, forgetting about an assignment almost got me into trouble and almost affected my grades. Again, I really hope this doesn't happen again.

INTRAMURALS
Hey guys! It's Lindsey here with my first assignment blog, in leadership! These past 7 days have been all about intramurals, AKA flag football. For class, we were all assigned a role/job we had to do. The jobs we had were: Clipboards, greeters, clipboard helpers and camaras. I was mainly a greeter and a clipboard helper, which I thought was a simple task. The thing about being a greeter was we had to go with the clipboards and show the classroom where they had to go and explain some rules. With a clipboard helper, it's pretty much in name. Help with clipboards. The clipboards was in charge of keeping track of behavior in class, instead of how many times their team would score. I was a clipboard on one of the days and honestly I wasn't at my best. For camaras they got pictures of everything happening. I was honestly surprised of how many people got minus points because of swearing or going outside the box. It was pretty cute and cool with some classes because they had really fun ways of cheering on their team.
Even out of all the rush happening, We still had highlights and lowlights that happened. A highlight that happened these past 7 days for me, was getting to have the opportunity to help be in charge of something that made our school a more fun place. To me this made me feel selfless, because I was doing something that didn't just benefit myself, but other people as well. A lowlight that happened these past 7 days for me, was messing up with the clipboards and staying in the hot sun for almost an hour everyday. To me this made me feel disappointed with myself, because I had been doing something that didn't leave any good affect on what I was trying to accomplish.
A lesson I've learned these past 7 days in intramurals was to always be productive whenever doing something. The reason why I've chose this to be my overall lesson for intramurals, was because I thought it really matched with what went on during this event. Looking back and reflecting, I've realized at some points I stood and did nothing, when I could've been keeping a closer eye out on the homeroom I was assigned too. I really hope that in the future, I will learn to be more productive with my time.
GLO #1 Self-Directed Learner: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by being observant of my surroundings and paying attention to what my job was.
GLO #2 Community Contributor: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by trying to help out my partner(clipboard) mark down what needed to be marked(attendance, behavior, participation, etc.)
GLO #3 Complex Thinker: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by correcting the mistakes and problems made by some people in their homerooms.
GLO #4 Quaility Producer: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by effectively working at all times and trying my best to keep up.
GLO #5 Effective Conmunicator: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by being able to communicate with my peers to ask for help when I needed it.
GLOE #6 Effective and ethical User of Technology: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by using my phone to take pictures for my blog responsibly and putting it away right after.

Important and Eventful Week
