INTRAMURALS

Hey guys! It's Lindsey here with my first assignment blog, in leadership! These past 7 days have been all about intramurals, AKA flag football. For class, we were all assigned a role/job we had to do. The jobs we had were: Clipboards, greeters, clipboard helpers and camaras. I was mainly a greeter and a clipboard helper, which I thought was a simple task. The thing about being a greeter was we had to go with the clipboards and show the classroom where they had to go and explain some rules. With a clipboard helper, it's pretty much in name. Help with clipboards. The clipboards was in charge of keeping track of behavior in class, instead of how many times their team would score. I was a clipboard on one of the days and honestly I wasn't at my best. For camaras they got pictures of everything happening. I was honestly surprised of how many people got minus points because of swearing or going outside the box. It was pretty cute and cool  with some classes because they had really fun ways of cheering on their team.

Even out of all the rush happening, We still had highlights and lowlights that happened.  A  highlight that happened these past 7 days for me, was getting to have the opportunity to help be in charge of something that made our school a more fun place. To me this made me feel selfless, because I was doing something that didn't just benefit myself, but other people as well. A lowlight that happened these past 7 days for me, was messing up with the clipboards and staying in the hot sun for almost an hour everyday. To me this made me feel disappointed with myself, because I had been doing something that didn't leave any good affect on what I was trying to accomplish.

A lesson I've learned these past 7 days in intramurals was to always be productive whenever doing something. The reason why I've chose this to be my overall lesson for intramurals, was because I thought it really matched with what went on during this event. Looking back and reflecting, I've realized at some points I stood and did nothing, when I could've been keeping a closer eye out on the homeroom I was assigned too. I really hope that in the future, I will learn to be more productive with my time.

GLO #2 Community Contributor: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by trying to help out my partner(clipboard) mark down what needed to be marked(attendance, behavior, participation, etc.)
GLO #3 Complex Thinker: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by correcting the mistakes and problems made by some people in their homerooms.
GLO #4 Quaility Producer: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by effectively working at all times and trying my best to keep up.
GLO #5 Effective Conmunicator: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by being able to communicate with my peers to ask for help when I needed it.
GLOE #6 Effective and ethical User of Technology: During intramurals, I demonstrated this GLO by using my phone to take pictures for my blog responsibly and putting it away right after.
