ORIENTATION 2K19

Hey guys! It's Lindsey, here with my 2nd orientation blog. Orientation day 2, went better than the first, in my opinion. The crowd was much more hyped up and seemed more interested. I feel like I did improve with the tour, which was a good thing. Orientation day 3, was interesting. I stayed the entire time and didn’t go hone. As you all know, this was for families. Now, this was sorta different. We did have a lesser crowd than the second but, it was fine. I saw some old friends and helped pass out forms at the entrance. Oh! We also didn’t have to worry about tour, which was kinda sad butc kinda good. And that last dance we all together? Memorable. Anyways, overall I’m just in shock. As a matter of fact, orientation was where it all started for me. If I hadn’t came to that last orientation as a clueless 6th grader, I wouldn’t be here, writing this right now. After months of preparation and practicing, it’s hard to believe it’s over. Like, I’ve mentioned in my previous blog, speaking and slides went smooth in my opinion. I mean, everyone sounded really clear and everyone completed the slides. The tours went OKAY. There were a few mistakes but, I think the kids got the overall message. Fashion show, was just super fun. At first, myself and others needed more energy but, we pulled through. Cleaning and setting up had a fee crashes, ifykyk. To wrap things up, these three events were just unforgettable and I really loved being apart of it:)

Highlights and Lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights throughout these days. One highlight for me was, the fashion show! This was a highlight for me because, I had a great time dancing with everyone and being a choreographer. One lowlight for me was, not changing quickly enough. This was a lowlight for me because, we had very limited time to spend changing and it delayed the whole show.

A lesson I can learn from this experience is, don’t waste time. Meaning, use time wisely and think about who’s time your actually using. The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for the week is because, I thought it really connected with what went on. If I had not wasted time, the show could’ve ran quicker and the 6th graders wouldn’t have been waiting for a while. In the future, I won’t waste time.
