2018-2019 3RD QUARTER BLOG!

Hey guys! It’s Lindsey, here with another quarterly blog! 3rd Quarter is almost up! This quarter has been an INTERESTING one! Interesting changes, interesting activities, etc. Main events and assignments we had were graduation meeting, spirit week, recognition night, ISA, graduation pictures, yearbook and orientation slides. Graduation meeting went okay, I was a greeter for the second time:) Spirit week was GREAT! Maybe a few minor issues but, overall it was good and I loved it.! With all the dress outs and activities we had, It was somewhat COMPETITIVE but, overall exciting. My personal favorite part of that week was cheer off:) Recognition night went good. We had this new thing called the graffiti wall and it was pretty cool. ISA went pretty slow honestly. Besides playing around for a little bit, I think it went smoothly considering everyone had fun. Graduation pictures went good. I think I needed to work on being faster but, I understood the concept. Yearbook was a roller coaster. I was so disappointed in myself when I couldn’t finish my page(team pictures) in time but, eventually got it done. Orientation slides was also a roller coaster! I had communication and  I needed to redo a few times but, got it done. Speaking of orientation slides, we started orientation practice! I’d say I’m reallyyyyy excited for this and can’t wait till the real ones. Oh! Also, absolutely NO D’S OR F’S this whole quarter! Yessuh! Now, just trying to earn my LAST ar star.... I joined the travel media club and signed up for street art, which I’m kinda excited for! New year too! We also have frances and bethany with us now and I’m pretty glad. One of my favorite memories this quarter was definitely, spirit week! One of my least favorite memories was definitely losing people here and there but, I’m used to it. Anyways, I’m absolutely scared but intrigued to what quarter 4 has in store:)

Highlights and lowlights. There were many highlights and lowlights that happened this quarter. One highlight for me was, having good grades for the whole quarter! This was a highlight for me because, it tells me I worked hard and I got things done! One lowlight for me was, not completing the yearbook on time. This was a lowlight for me because, the yearbook was one of our most IMPORTANT assignments and to not get it done, is just a bad thing.

A lesson I can learn from this quarter would be, having good priorities. This means to know what’s really important for yourself and to make sure you fulfil it.The reason why I choose this to be my lesson for thenweek is because, I feel like it really connected to what happened this quarter. If I had , had good priorities, things would’ve been more efficien. In the future, I will learn to have good priorities.

GLO’s:
GLO #1, Self Directed Learner: I feel like I followed this GLO by, being independent and learning from some lessons.
GLO #2, Community Contributor: I feel like I followed this GLO by, helping others who were in need of assistance.
GLO #3, Complex Thinker: I feel like I followed this GLO by, overall using common sense to solve minor issues.
GLO #4, Quality Producer: I feel like I followed this GLO by, giving my best work possible in and out of Leadership.
GLO #5, Effective Communicator: I feel like I folowed this GLO by, talking to others when I need help.
GLO #6, Effective and Ethical User of Technology: I feel like I followed this GLO by, responsibly using our tech. equipment correctly overall.

My outlook for next quarter would have to be, finishing strong. Meaning, since I am ending my leadership journey by the end of this school year, I want to end it off on a positive note. I want to be able to say I helped make the school a better place. No more problems with jobs, no more wasting time, no more procrastinating and no more not being productive. 4th quarter is gonna be MY quarter and I am going to be the best version of myself I can be!
